The BARK9 Scholarship Fund is a financial assistance program offering help to K9 handlers and other rescue personnel to offset costs of training courses, room & board, travel, and other out-of-pocket expenses to further their skills and experience in their chosen rescue discipline.

While BARK9 was initially founded to ease the personal financial burdens placed on dog handlers, we are proud to extend scholarship opportunities to all rescue personnel looking to advance their education and skills for the benefit of serving others.

Grant funding may be used for registration fees and travel costs associated with a training event, equipment related to rescue operations or search dog work, or for working dog healthcare.

Grant applications are reviewed by a committee in the order they are received, funding permitting.

BARK9 releases funds biannually for the following two time periods:
● November–April
● May–October
